PureStream Privacy Policy
1. What PureStream stores on your device
PureStream stores your podcast library, episode lists, playback position, queue, downloads, listening history, and app settings on your device. This local app data stays on your device unless you choose a feature that sends it to PureStream, such as account sync.
2. Podcast feeds and media
When you add, refresh, stream, or download a podcast, the app may connect directly to that podcast publisher, feed host, or media host. Those third parties may receive your IP address and standard request metadata because they are delivering the content you requested. Their privacy practices apply to their services.
3. PureStream discovery
You can browse and search the PureStream discovery directory without creating an account. Discovery requests may include search terms, category selections, language settings, and standard technical metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and diagnostic logs. We use this to return results, operate the service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
4. PureStream accounts and sync
A PureStream account is optional. If you create one, we process the identity information needed to create and recover the account, such as email address, provider identifier, and display name when supplied by the sign-in provider. If you enable sync, PureStream stores the subscription and listening-state data needed to synchronize your devices.
5. Diagnostics and app store services
The app may use Google Play services and limited diagnostics or crash reporting to keep PureStream reliable and understand product quality. We do not use this information to sell advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
6. What we do not do
- We do not require an account to listen.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not include account identity in public discovery metadata.
- We do not claim ownership over third-party podcast content.
7. Service providers
We may use infrastructure, authentication, analytics, security, and hosting providers to operate PureStream. They process information only as needed to provide services to us and are not permitted to sell your personal information on our behalf.
8. Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Account and sync data is retained while your account exists, unless a longer retention period is required for security, legal compliance, or backup integrity. You can request account or data deletion by contacting us.
9. Children
PureStream is not directed to children under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as PureStream evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice in the app or on this website.
